Now, the interesting part is how they link Orion to Thomas with his horoscope. Thomas, you see, has the most powerful horoscope. He is a Leo or Lion in the West, and in the East, he’s a Tiger. Thomas is portrayed as a cat because of his strong horoscope.

They also let you know about Thomas’ birthmark. It is said by the dying Rosenburg (other dead Arquillian royalty include Martin Luther King Jr. and John Lennon) the Arquillian galaxy is on Orion’s belt. The MIB take a look at Orion’s Belt through a telescope but they can’t figure out how a whole galaxy could be there. Then they talk to Frank the Pug and realize the galaxy could actually be very small. They discover the Arquillian galaxy ends up being not in the sky but on the collar of a cat named Orion. Now, if this cat is Thomas then according to the birthmark Orion’s belt is right where his neck is. You could say the cat was keeping the galaxy safe without even knowing about it. It’s not real astrology or science, just a creative way to tell a special story about a guy and his cat in a galaxy-saving adventure.

In the second Men in Black movie, there’s an amusing scene where Agent K, played by Tommy Lee Jones, opens his locker and discovers a group of tiny aliens who worship him as a deity. They have been protecting his prized possessions: his wristwatch and a video store membership card.

Now, in connecting this scene to Thomas, we put forward the idea that Thomas has people who secretly worship him all around the world. Secretly they do this out of fear of being persecuted for their beliefs. The tiny aliens in the locker are seen as these believers hiding in the locker. They treat Thomas with a special kind of reverence. The fourth wall is torn down when they associate Thomas to K through the real life name of the actor.

The wristwatch and video store membership card aren’t random items. They symbolize the many movies, songs, and books written about Thomas, and released at important times. When Men in Black made its debut there was no Netflix and the home entertainment world ran off of video store membership cards. A real life version of the Da Vinci Code takes place allowing for a believer to discover for themself the magnitude of his following. By using their brains and with extensive knowledge of movies, songs and books, plus a good wristwatch, one can discover he has a special place in dozens upon dozens of America’s most popular entertainment releases.
