For A Million Years Orion Was Our Guide

Orion is likely the oldest “religion” in the world likely “practiced” for the longest period of time. Orion is the most easily identifiable constellation in the night sky and for this reason it would have been the first constellation to be noticed by humans perhaps millions of years ago.
Orion brought our species up out of the confused mental state of an animal and into the consciousness and the light of modern man. For millions of years ancient man studied this constellation and from it he learned to walk upright, invent the bow and arrow, and carry a sword around his waist.
Ancient man taught his son to never forget Orion for everything there was to know about being a man came from him.
There is a most ancient question surrounding Orion as easily answered in the ancient world as it is today. This question serves as a most ancient tool of diplomacy. Did man put Orion’s bow up into the sky? Or did man take the bow down out of the sky?
How you answer this question says a lot about you and how you think. There is a correct answer to this question but we don’t know what it is. The one who is more imaginative will answer it one way. The one who is confused will answer it the wrong way.
Master Thomas teaches the bow was taken down out of the sky. With the constellation of Orion very obviously being a human figure, the question ancient man asked himself, after studying it for great lengths of time, was this: What is Orion holding? How do I make one? How do I stand like him and do what he is doing?
The constellation of Orion served as the blueprints for the inventors of the bow and arrow likely over a million years ago.The technology was lost and rediscovered until it became a permanent part of who we are. In this ancient age of man the constellation would have been of the greatest importance, or perhaps the constellation only became more important with the evolution of mankind.
Let me be clear: ancient men studied the constellation of Orion and taught their sons to do so as well, and they invented the bow based on what they observed. Ancient man did not first invent the bow and then realize there is also one in the sky. Rather, humans have gazed upon the strong figure of Orion intently for the entirety of our evolution. Simply put, we did not begin studying yesterday.
The fascination we have with this constellation far above any other dates back even millions of years further to the days when we first walked upright. G-d gave us this constellation and based on what we observed we distinguished ourselves from the other primates. We are the ones who studied the stars and constellations and believed in them. We stood upright with our shoulders back. We carried a short sword or a knife around our waist. We invented the bow and arrow and a shield as instructed.
